Aromatherapy Body Polish

body scrub body polishBody polish or salt scrub is a wonderful way to exfoliate, soften and moisturize rough or dry flaky skin. There are many types of body polish on the market; the best being those that are made with quality natural ingredients. For body polish or salt scrubs, those containing ingredients such as Dead Sea salt, Epsom salt, Jojoba oil, essential oils (not fragrance oils which are man made) and other skin beautifying natural ingredients. It is this type of body polish or salt scrub that will deep clean pores and removes impurities. Body polish or salt scrub are designed for exfoliating and polishing the skin on the body and are not recommended for use on more sensitive skin such as face and neck area.

There are several ways to apply a body polish at home. The method used is more of a personal preference than a science. The recommended way is too use once or twice a week in the shower after the body is washed and still wet. Use small amounts at a time and rub all over the body until the scrub has dissolved, paying particular attention to those areas where the skin is more dry and rough. After the body is fully polished, rinsed and pat dry with a towel. Another method is during a bath. The benefit of this method is that the body will have more time to soak up the minerals of the sea salt and any essential oils. A final method is right before bathing or showering, again using small amounts of polish, buff the entire body. This final method can be messy and requires the floor to be lined with towels or a sheet for easier clean up. Whatever method you prefer do not over polish the skin as it may cause irritation.

Body polish is a luxurious at home spa product and one of the best ways to brighten and smooth the body, remove excess surface oils and debris, control acne and regenerate and moisturize areas that tend to be rougher than the rest of you.
